Rigorous Routines

“An island can be dreadful for someone from outside. Everything is complete, and everyone has his obstinate, sure and self-sufficient place. Within their shores, everything functions according to rituals that are as hard as rock from repetition, and at the same time they amble through their days as whimsically and casually as if the world ended at the horizon.”
― Tove Jansson
Obstinate and pushy thoughts float across my mind secretly giving me a sudden urge to move away from the regular hustle of my life.Isnt it obvious for a human mind to be at peace at its own pace? We as humans have the natural tendency to compete and move ahead in this race that we somehow and haphazardly forget how to live. What if our destiny decides to take a sudden and an unexpected turn while we are following the traffic rules(obviously with all the complicated thoughts and emotion wired inside our head) ? Do we really need to stress ourselves right now and even in the future? The thoughts of keeping up with others in today’s era has really impacted our lives and those who are a part of our lives. We may think about good things and good benefits ,but do we really care about living our own self ? The fact is ,we as humans have become so covetous in our thinking towards certain things in a certain way, that we only look for fleeting benefits or I’d rather put it as momentary happiness. We involve ourselves in so many things that it becomes really difficult to come out of it and breathe in relief. My advice to all, please don’t entangle yourself in the web of harrowing and disastrous circle..called ROUTINE !!!You can define it and live it on your own terms and manage it.
Bruce Lee has rightfully quoted “If you follow the classical pattern, you are understanding the routine, the tradition, the shadow — you are not understanding yourself.”
